“…theological realism: the simple, basic belief that God is that ultimate reality out of which all physical realities around us derive their existence, and that his real presence is immediately accessible to his people.”  Gary Tyra, The Holy Spirit in Mission, p. 112

There is no moment, no place, no aspect of the created order that is not entirely infused with the presence of God, purposefully and powerfully active.  Without an abiding awareness of that fundamental truth of reality, we will live with a tacit sense that God is primarily a spectator, only occasionally engaging actively in the affairs of our lives and our world.  In this sermon, I present the biblical truth of our present, purposeful God of power.

Read:  Colossians 1:15-20 and Psalm 104
