God is absolutely, relentlessly determined to bring us back into relationship with him.  There’s a lot that he has to do in order to accomplish that.  Jesus come along side us as our Advocate (Paraclete) and takes on and so takes away the guilt of our sin.  The consequence of this work of Jesus for us is that we can come to know God.  This notion of “knowing God” is a beautiful, rich, and powerful reality at the heart of the Christian experience.  In this sermon, I lay out three important senses in which we can be said to know God through Jesus Christ.

Read:  1 John 2:1-6
Then listen:  Knowing God through Jesus
